   Hollister is an American clothing brand. Hollister Co. is marketed as having been founded in 1922. The store is designed to have a similar feel to a surf shop. Rapid success led to Abercrombie & Fitch Co. to note that HCO was overtaking the Abercrombie & Fitch brand. To correctly distinguish A&F from HCO, clothing and merchandise with a high grade of materials used strictly in their making in the production of A&F products was introduced, driving up the prices of the merchandise.
