1. Josef Philes (aka Joe Fuller)

   Posed as Josef Philes for Bob Mizer, and as Joe Fuller for David Hurles (Old Reliable) in the 1980s. Also appeared in films such as  Down for the Count  by Scott Masters (1987), and Street Trash by Lucky Luc (1991) as Joe Newman.
   Most of the Old Reliable images were published in Hollywood Hot Shots magazine.

2. Gregg Strom

   When Zeus was issuing magazines like Colt's - rougher, and not so slick, but that was part of the appeal - one of their leading models was the sexy, muscular Mr Strom. I think this genre is known as performance bondage art.

9. How Colt Broke My Heart

   That's right, talkin' about you, Jim French. You publish this series of pictures of lovers (so I read and I believe it's true with every fibre of my being) Rick Wolfmeir and Mike Betts.
   Okay, I'm back. Just had to go drink some water.
   And you promised, Jim, you PROMISED these were a mere draft, a rough cut, for a proposed movie featuring these two gods wrestling. Maybe to see who was stronger? Perhaps there'd be a certain amount of ripping of clothes? To find out who'd be king for a day? (As if we didn't all know and secretly pray) I was all set to pull out my credit card but it never happened. Because some things are just too good for this world. Over the years I've had to make do with this glimpse of what could have been. Repeatedly. And to judge by his unofficial portrait of these two, so did Tom of Finland.

23. Honcho Magazine, January 1986 - remastered full magazine

    This is a painstakingly remastered full issue, January 1986, of Honcho Magazine that I manually scanned and re-mastered the images as best as I could - VERY old.... 
    Scanning one page of the magazine at a time, these are the processes I went through:
    - Color warmth and lighting correction applied
    - Centerfolds, both single and split, are digitally stitched together, with the original pages left intact
    - Inserted photos are enhanced with their own separate display pages (when feasible)
    - Very high resolution 600dpi individual scans
    - Applied filters (Unsharp Mask, De-screening, Dust Removal) for improved image quality
    - All edges cleanly trimmed, and any marks or seams touched-up by hand in Photoshop (when feasible)
    I did not zip this into a single upload file, because it is still way too large, and everything is processed at a high resolution of 600dpi and I did not want to reduce the resolution.  So all the pages of the entire magazine - even the ads - are here, as well as some enlargements of the embedded smaller photos.  Enjoy 🙂 🙂
